MAS Social
Services Foundation is happy to announce the start of a
drug addiction
support group (Alcohol, narcotics, prescription medication)
Studies have shown that
drug addiction
support groups are the only proven "treatment program" that
supports long-term sobriety.
Addicts
continue to attend meetings years after they stop using because they
know that without that support they are more likely to succumb to the
drugs again.
The program is called Millati Islami.
Millati
Islami
is a Twelve Step recovery program for persons that experience
problems associated with addiction. The steps and traditions of
Millati Islami
are based upon Islamic principles. With the traditional
Twelve Step program
some principles have proven to be in accord with our Islamic way of
life. When Islamic principles are included, they have proven to further
enhance the recovery process.
